Rauora is the new Rainbow Six Siege operator
The final day of the Six Invitational is always a major event for Ubisoft, and this year was no exception. A key highlight was the unveiling of Rauora, the newest Attack Operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. The shield features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by any player, but the opening speed varies: one second for attackers, three seconds for defenders. This time difference could prove critical, especially during defuser situations.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a later release date planned for the live game.
