Get ready to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds, launching February 28th, 2025, is now available for pre-download on Steam. Clear 57 GB of storage space to prepare for this epic adventure.

Unlike many AAA titles, Monster Hunter Wilds will launch globally on the same day, meaning no early access for anyone. The Deluxe and Premium editions primarily offer cosmetic enhancements, simplifying your purchase decision.

Early reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Monster Hunter Wilds currently boasts an impressive 89/100 Metacritic score (based on 54 PS5 reviews). Critics praise the vibrant open world while acknowledging the familiar, yet refined, complexity of the gameplay. An improved UI ensures accessibility for newcomers.

The core gameplay of battling massive monsters remains a thrilling highlight, enhanced by stunning graphics and new features like dual weapon slots and focus mode. However, some reviewers note the combat might feel repetitive after extended play, and the skill system, tied solely to weapons and armor, may be a point of contention for some. Despite these minor drawbacks, Monster Hunter Wilds promises an unforgettable experience for both veterans and newcomers.
