Relic Reveals Earth vs. Mars Title

Nov 10,25

Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes, is developing Earth vs. Mars—a compact turn-based strategy game launching this summer on Steam. Players will fend off Martian invaders by engineering outlandish human-animal hybrids using the Splice-O-Tron device, featuring creations like Squirrel-Cows, Human-Rhinos, and Cheetah-Flies. The gameplay draws inspiration from Advance Wars, the beloved Nintendo DS tactical series.

"For years," Relic explains, "Martians have covertly studied Earth, abducting species to extract their atomic energy. Now they've launched an all-out assault, forcing a band of unlikely heroes to spearhead humanity's defense. Lead Earth's forces against advanced alien technology—saucers, grav-tanks, and elite warriors—in a battle for survival."

The game offers a 30+ mission campaign, online multiplayer with faction choice, AI VS Mode, and a map editor.

"We're blending Relic's signature approach with Advance Wars' charm while nodding to our roots," said CEO Justin Dowdeswell. "Alongside major RTS projects, we're pursuing smaller indie experiments to innovate and accelerate releases." The Steam wishlist is now available.
