V Rising Surges to Sales Pinnacle
V Rising surpasses 5 Million Units Sold, Major 2025 Update Teased
The vampire survival game, V Rising, has achieved a remarkable milestone, exceeding five million units sold. Developer Stunlock Studios celebrated this success and unveiled exciting plans for a substantial 2025 update. This update promises to significantly expand the game with new factions, enhanced PvP features, and a wealth of additional content.
V Rising, launched in early access in 2022 and fully released in 2024, has captivated players with its immersive open-world gameplay. Players assume the role of a vampire striving for power and survival, engaging in compelling combat, exploration, and base building. The PS5 release in June 2024 further broadened its reach, solidifying its popularity. Despite minor post-launch adjustments, the game's positive reception is evident in its impressive sales figures.
Stunlock Studios CEO, Rickard Frisegard, attributed the five million sales milestone to the dedicated community built around V Rising, emphasizing it as more than just a number. This achievement, he stated, fuels the team's ambition to continually improve and expand the game's offerings. Frisegard confirmed that 2025 will bring a wave of fresh experiences and content.
A 2025 Update That Will "Redefine" V Rising
The upcoming 2025 update is poised to significantly reshape V Rising. Key features include: a new faction introducing ancient technologies; a refined progression system; revamped PvP options, including new duels and arena PvP (as previewed in Update 1.1, offering risk-free PvP combat preserving blood types); a new crafting station enabling stat bonus application to endgame gear; and a vast new northern region beyond Silverlight, introducing tougher challenges and formidable bosses.
Stunlock Studios is celebrating its monumental success while simultaneously preparing to deliver a thrilling 2025 for V Rising players, filled with exciting new adventures and content.
