Is the GTA 6 Trailer 2 Too Impressive? The fine print at the trailer's end stating it was captured on a PS5 has led some to speculate the footage might be from a PS5 Pro or PC. Rockstar, however, has clarified this isn't the case.

The developer confirmed via social media that GTA 6 Trailer 2 was captured entirely on a standard PS5 system. Furthermore, they revealed the trailer is an equal mix of in-game gameplay and cinematic cutscenes.

Here is Rockstar's full statement:

Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.

This confirmation makes GTA 6 even more remarkable. The second trailer showcases astonishing detail, and we now know definitively it's running on a console released five years ago. By GTA 6's launch on May 26, 2026, the PS5 will be five-and-a-half years old.

Rockstar's developers are demonstrating their technical prowess once more. Their mention of gameplay in the trailer raises questions about which specific moments qualify. The GTA 6 community has already noted a likely transition from cutscene to gameplay when Jason enters his apartment.
