Ryan Reynolds in Early Talks for Deadpool and X-Men Film

May 14,25

Ryan Reynolds is reportedly in the "early stages" of developing a new film that would bring together Deadpool and several X-Men characters. According to THR, Reynolds envisions an ensemble movie where Deadpool, while still a key player, would not be the central focus. Instead, the film would highlight three or four other X-Men, allowing them to take the spotlight and be utilized in innovative and surprising ways.

This project is distinct from another X-Men film being developed by Hunger Games writer Michael Lesslie. Reynolds, known for meticulously crafting his ideas before presenting them to Marvel, seems to be following a similar approach as he did with Deadpool & Wolverine, which initially was conceived as a low-budget road trip movie.

While this isn't the first time rumors have circulated about Reynolds working on a Deadpool ensemble film, these recent details provide more insight into the potential direction of the project. As for which X-Men might join Deadpool, it remains a mystery. However, Deadpool has a history of collaborating with various X-Men characters in his films, including Wolverine, Colossus, Sabertooth, Pyro, and even Channing Tatum's Gambit.
