Glauco Longhi, a renowned character artist and game developer known for his work on God of War, has sparked rumors of a new intellectual property (IP) being developed by Santa Monica Studio. This buzz originates from Longhi's LinkedIn profile, where he mentions rejoining the studio to lead character development for an "unannounced project."
Longhi's journey with Santa Monica Studio began with God of War (2018), where he progressed to become the lead character artist for God of War Ragnarok. His return to the studio was motivated by the opportunity to "supervise the character development pipeline" for this new, mysterious project.
"Supervising/Directing Character development on an unannounced project, and also helping the studio to continually push and raise the bar on Character Development for videogames," Longhi states on his profile.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Santa Monica Studio's creative director, Cory Barlog, has mentioned that the studio is working on various projects.
