--------------------------Silent Hill f Gets Banned in Australia

The Australian Classification Board has decided to ban Silent Hill f, giving it a "Refused Classification" rating, which prevents the game from being released in Australia.
The now-private publication post, as reported by several outlets, offered little insight into the specific reasons for this stringent rating. However, the Australian Classification Board's website clarifies that "Refused Classification (RC)" is assigned to films, computer games, and publications that cannot be sold, hired, advertised, or legally imported in Australia. This classification is reserved for content deemed to be outside generally-accepted community standards and exceeding the limits of the R 18+ and X 18+ ratings.

In contrast, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) in the United States rated Silent Hill f as "Mature 17+", citing reasons such as blood and gore, intense violence, and partial nudity. The ESRB's detailed rating summary highlighted elements like frequent blood splatter, enemy attacks that impale the player, gore-filled cutscenes, and concept art featuring a nude mannequin as contributing factors to the "M 17+" rating.
The Silent Hill Transmission event on March 13 gave fans a glimpse into what to expect from Silent Hill f, indicating that the game might be one of the franchise's most gruesome and violent entries to date. For the latest updates on Silent Hill f, be sure to check out our dedicated article below!
