Konami debuted a new trailer for Silent Hill f, packed with details about its chilling premise, where players face a haunting yet beautiful choice in 1960s Japan.

The team kept the pivotal decision under wraps but shared a glimpse of the story, setting the stage for an immersive experience.

"Shimizu Hinkao, an ordinary teenager, finds her town engulfed in eerie fog and transformed in nightmarish ways," the official synopsis explains. "She must navigate an unfamiliar landscape, solve puzzles, battle bizarre foes, and fight to survive—all leading to a critical choice. This is a story of beauty intertwined with terror."

This original tale welcomes newcomers while hiding Easter Eggs for longtime fans. Konami revealed the game unfolds in Ebisugaoka, a fictional town inspired by Kanayama in Gifu Prefecture.

Creature and character designer Kera shared an exciting message for fans, hinting at the horrors awaiting in Silent Hill f.

"The Silent Hill series has deeply influenced me," Kera said. "Silent Hill 2, with its wall messages, music, and creatures, is a constant inspiration. For Silent Hill f, we crafted a unique Japanese setting, rethinking how to capture that distinct Silent Hill essence."

"Designing the creatures was a challenge. I had to honor the legacy of Silent Hill while carving a fresh path. It’s not the same blood-soaked, rusted aesthetic, but I hope you’ll embrace the world we’ve built."

Music plays a vital role in Silent Hill f, with veteran composer Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage, known for Dynasty Warriors, crafting tracks for the Fog World and Otherworld.

"I’ve created music for a haunting yet beautiful world, drawing from shrine imagery and blending ancient Japanese court music with ambient tones," Inage said. "My compositions reflect the protagonist’s anguish, inner turmoil, and fear, forging a deep connection with players."

While no release date was announced, Silent Hill f is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
