Showcased at Game Worlds in Australia

Hollow Knight: Silksong ranks among the most eagerly awaited games, with fans craving hands-on experience. The wait may soon ease as a playable demo will be available at Australia’s National Museum of Screen Culture (ACMI). This new demo is expected to differ significantly from the 2019 E3 version, which was seen as more of a conceptual preview.
ACMI’s Game Worlds exhibition, running from September 18, 2025, to February 8, 2026, will spotlight several titles, including World of Warcraft, The Sims, and Australia’s own Hollow Knight: Silksong. The exhibit will feature unique game builds, original design materials, concept art, and iconic artifacts.
In an interview with IGN, ACMI co-curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell expressed excitement about featuring Silksong. They stated, “Since its 2019 reveal, Hollow Knight: Silksong has captured global attention as a highly anticipated indie title. We’re thrilled to highlight this South Australian creation as a centerpiece of Game Worlds in September.”

Since its announcement in 2019, details about Silksong have been sparse, leaving fans to chase rumors and speculation. ACMI’s Game Worlds exhibit aims to quench this thirst by offering fresh insights into the game.
The co-curators noted that the exhibit will explore the sequel’s intricate details. They shared, “From the countless sprites animating Hornet’s movements and attacks to the mechanics behind the game’s toughest boss battles, our Silksong displays will offer an in-depth look at its artistry and design, with the game playable on-site.”

While the Australian exhibit may hint at Silksong’s launch window, no official release date has been confirmed. A recent Switch 2 Direct appearance confirmed a 2025 release window. With the exhibit running until 2026, fans hope for a launch as early as September or during the event’s duration.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. For the latest updates, check out our article below!
