Silksong Still Coming to Switch 1
Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release for Switch 1
After Silksong made a brief appearance at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, many fans speculated that the game might bypass the current generation and launch exclusively on the next-gen console. Initially announced in 2019 for PC and the original Switch, Silksong later expanded its platform availability to include PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
To address fans' concerns, Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to Twitter (X) on April 8. He confirmed that Silksong will indeed be released on both the original Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. While there's no official word on the differences between these versions, it's anticipated that the Switch 2 edition will benefit from the console's enhanced capabilities, potentially offering higher resolution and improved performance.
New Silksong Images Revealed
Following the Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo Japan's official website unveiled new images of Silksong. Although these locations have been seen before, fans have pointed out noticeable graphical enhancements since the game's initial reveal in 2019.
