The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon
The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser subtly alluded to the series' first two installments, sparking widespread fan speculation about a potential revival of these classic titles. While no official announcement has been made, Kotaku sources hint at a possible digital PC release of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with all their original expansion packs, by the end of the week.
Should this prove accurate, the question of console releases and their timing remains open. However, given the potential for capitalizing on players' nostalgic fondness for these games, it seems improbable that EA would forgo such a lucrative opportunity.
The original Sims 1 and 2 are now quite dated, and legitimate avenues for playing them are extremely limited. Their return would undoubtedly be met with enthusiastic approval from long-time fans.
