Recent events surrounding the viral Skibidi Toilet and its impact on the sandbox game Garry's Mod have taken a bizarre turn. However, it appears the situation has been resolved, with game developer Garry Newman confirming the matter is settled.

Who Issued the Skibidi Toilet DMCA Notice to Garry's Mod?

DaFuqBoom or Invisible Narratives? Still Unclear

[1] Image via Steam Garry Newman, creator of Garry's Mod, confirmed to IGN that a DMCA notice was received late last year from parties claiming ownership of Skibidi Toilet copyrights. Newman, expressing disbelief on a Discord server ("Can you believe the cheek?"), found himself unexpectedly at the center of a viral Skibidi Toilet/Garry's Mod DMCA controversy. While Newman has stated the issue is now "resolved," the identity of the party who sent the DMCA remains undisclosed.

The DMCA targeted "unauthorized Skibidi Toilet Garry's Mod" content, which the sender claimed generated significant revenue. The notice specifically mentioned the use of characters from the Skibidi Toilet web series, including Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, and Titan TV Man, all allegedly protected by registered copyrights.
