Voice Actor for Skyrim and Fallout 3 Found 'Barely Alive'
Renowned Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other games, was discovered "barely alive" in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support.
As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife Kim and other relatives have established a GoFundMe campaign to seek donations for his mounting medical bills and living expenses while he cannot work. "At this moment, Wes continues to fight for his life in the intensive care unit," the page states.
Johnson had traveled to Atlanta voluntarily to host a benefit for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation on January 22. After checking into his hotel, however, concerns grew when he failed to appear at the event.
"When he didn’t arrive, his wife Kim tried frantically to contact him," the post explains. "Hotel security had to enter his room, where they found him unconscious and clinging to life. Emergency responders initially struggled to detect a pulse."

The GoFundMe initially aimed to raise $50,000, but that goal has been nearly tripled, with over $144,791 contributed by more than 2,200 supporters to date. Beyond his iconic video game performances, Johnson has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has taken on many film and television roles.
His prolific video game work is largely with Bethesda, most recently voicing Ron Hope in Starfield. Other notable roles include Sheogorath, the Prince of Madness, and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion; the Daedric Princes Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind; Fawkes and Mister Burke in Fallout 3; Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim; and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
