Sonic Dream Team's Shadow Levels Update Now Available
Sonic Dream Team is set to receive a thrilling update that adds more levels for the fan-favorite character, Shadow the Hedgehog. This major update arrives just in time for the weekend, bringing a host of exciting new features to the game.
The update introduces three new stages and a new mission type in the Adventure mode, all centered around Shadow. Since his introduction to the game in December of last year, this update aims to enhance his mechanics and playability, offering players even more ways to enjoy his unique abilities.
In addition to new stages, the update includes a variety of new interactable objects such as trampolines, phased platforms, tightrope springs, and more. These additions will allow players to utilize Shadow's Chaos Shift to cleanse the Dream of corruption and combat the growing Nightmares.
Shadow's resurgence in popularity, boosted by Keanu Reeves' voice acting, has coincided with Sega's increased focus on mobile gaming following the acquisition of Rovio in 2023. While Sonic Dream Team predates this acquisition, its success has likely influenced Sega's strategy for future mobile game releases.
Looking ahead, the upcoming Sonic Rumble, a battle royale-style multiplayer game, represents a bold departure from the classic Sonic gameplay that Sonic Dream Team emulates. Whether this new direction will be a hit or a miss remains to be seen, but it's certainly an exciting prospect for fans.
In the meantime, you can explore the latest list of the top five new mobile games to try this week and discover some fantastic new launches from the past seven days!
