Sonic Rumble Prepares for Launch in Preview Rollout
Remember Sonic Rumble? This upcoming Sonic game trades high-speed adventures for chaotic, Fall Guys-style party mayhem featuring Sonic and friends. Following a May closed beta test (CBT), Sonic Rumble is now entering its pre-launch phase.
Sonic Rumble's Phased Pre-Launch Rollout
SEGA has initiated the pre-launch in the Philippines on Android and iOS. This is Phase 1, running throughout the summer. All gameplay data will be reset after this phase concludes.
Phase 2, launching in the fall, will expand the pre-launch to Peru and Colombia. Phase 3 will add further regions, yet to be announced. Global pre-registration is expected by the end of the year or early next year. The recent success of Fall Guys likely spurred this accelerated pre-launch strategy.
Gameplay Overview
Sonic Rumble mirrors Stumble Guys and Fall Guys with a collection of mini-games featuring zany obstacles and challenges. Players can compete solo or team up with friends.
However, Sonic Rumble introduces a unique twist: classic Sonic villains like Dr. Eggman. Expect the usual obstacle dodging, but with added villainous interference. Philippine players can download Sonic Rumble now from the Google Play Store.
