Space Marine 2 Hits Steam Milestone Despite Server Issues
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 has kicked off with a promising start, but like many eagerly awaited titles, it has encountered its fair share of launch-day technical challenges. Fear not, as the dedicated team behind this highly anticipated sequel is actively working to address these concerns and enhance your gaming experience!
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Early Access Plagued with Server Issues
Still Hit a Milestone on Steam, Though!
Despite a somewhat turbulent launch day, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 has managed to achieve significant milestones on Steam. The game, which entered early access earlier in the week, has been met with a range of technical issues reported by players. These include server problems, FPS drops, stuttering, black screens, and frustrating infinite loading times. A particularly common grievance is the "Joining Server Bug" in the PvE Operations mode, leaving players stranded on a server connection screen with little to no progress.
In response, Focus Home Entertainment has acknowledged these issues in a community post, expressing gratitude for player feedback and confirming that fixes are on the way. "First off, we wanted to thank you for reporting your issues and providing us with feedback. We’re currently working to find fixes," they stated. The post also highlighted other frequent problems, such as crashes during the initial cinematic scenes and controller-related issues.
Moreover, Focus Home Entertainment clarified that linking Steam and Epic accounts is not mandatory for playing the game. "Please be aware linking your Steam and Epic accounts is not required to enjoy the game. These features are entirely optional and will not affect your gameplay experience in any way," the team emphasized.
For players facing server issues, a temporary solution involves retrying matchmaking if you are sent back to the main menu or the Battle Barge after a failed connection attempt. While this workaround might not be ideal, it could offer some relief until a more permanent fix is rolled out.
