Spin Hero: Slot Machine Roguelike Deckbuilder Now on Android
Spin Hero introduces a fresh twist on the roguelike deckbuilder genre, blending fantasy RPG elements with an unexpected mechanic: the slot machine. Developed and published by Goblinz Publishing, this game replaces traditional card play with a dynamic reel-spinning system that determines your combat outcomes and strategy.
You're Spinning Reels to Decide Your Fate
Each run in Spin Hero takes place across procedurally generated stages, where your goal is to assemble the most powerful set of symbols possible. With over 120 unique symbols in the game, no two runs feel the same. The gameplay loop centers around spinning reels to trigger abilities, defeat enemies, and progress through increasingly difficult challenges.
Choose from four distinct characters, each offering a unique playstyle that enhances the game’s replayability. Face off against more than 50 different enemies and eight challenging bosses spread throughout six uniquely themed stages. Each character and enemy brings something new to the table, ensuring variety with every session.
Loot, Strategy, and Deck Building
Spin Hero features a variety of loot types including commons, legendaries, and more. You’re given 20 item slots per run, making optimization key—most sessions revolve around collecting the best 20 items to maximize your build. This creates a rewarding sense of progression as you refine your strategy and improve your odds with every spin.

Will You Give Spin Hero a Try?
Spin Hero is developed and published by Goblinz Publishing, a studio known for bringing polished indie titles like Oaken, Overboss, As Far As The Eye, and Ozymandias to mobile platforms. Like those titles, Spin Hero is not free-to-play—it’s available at a one-time price of $4.99, offering full access without microtransactions.
Visually, the game leans into a retro roguelike aesthetic. While the art style may feel minimalistic and understated, it prioritizes clarity and function, which complements the fast-paced gameplay. That said, a bit more visual flair could enhance the overall experience.
If you're looking for a unique take on roguelikes with a satisfying risk/reward system, Spin Hero is definitely worth a look. Head over to the [ttpp] Google Play Store and give the game a spin!
