Squad Busters Ends Win Streaks, Offers Exclusive Emotes
Squad Busters is set to undergo significant changes with the upcoming removal of the Win Streaks feature. This means players will no longer be able to climb the endless ladder of consecutive wins to earn extra rewards. The decision to end Win Streaks stems from the system's tendency to create pressure and frustration among players, rather than fostering a sense of achievement.
Why Is It Ending and When?
The Win Streaks feature in Squad Busters will be discontinued starting December 16th. The developers have decided to remove it because it was causing more stress than enjoyment for many players. However, your highest streak will remain on your profile as a legacy achievement, allowing you to showcase your past accomplishments.
To soften the blow of this change, Squad Busters is offering exclusive emotes to players who reach certain milestones before the cutoff date. These milestones include 0-9, 10, 25, 50, and 100 wins. Unfortunately, coins spent on Win Streaks will not be refunded. The developers believe that refunding these coins would disrupt the game's balance, particularly between free-to-play players and those who purchase in-game items with real money.
The community has mixed feelings about this change. Some players welcome the move away from a pay-to-win model, while others are skeptical, especially given the perceived inadequacy of the farewell gifts.
Join Cyber Squad
In addition to the Win Streaks update, Squad Busters is currently rolling out the Cyber Squad season. This new season comes packed with numerous rewards and includes a free Solarpunk Heavy Skin. Players can jump into battles and explore everything Cyber Squad has to offer.
