STALKER 2: Expanded System Specs Emerge
STALKER 2's demanding PC system requirements revealed: Prepare for intense performance needs.

With launch just a week away (November 20th), the final PC system requirements for STALKER 2 have been unveiled, highlighting the game's significant hardware demands, even at minimum settings. High-end rigs will be necessary for 4K resolution and high frame rates.

The updated specifications are detailed below:
| OS | Windows 10 x64 Windows 11 x64 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RAM | 16GB Dual Channel | 32GB Dual Channel | ||
| Storage | SSD ~160GB | |||

While minimum specs are relatively accessible, achieving smooth high-frame-rate 4K gameplay requires a powerful system. "Epic" settings, in particular, are exceptionally demanding, potentially surpassing even Crysis' notorious 2007 requirements. Storage needs have also increased from 150GB to 160GB; an SSD is strongly recommended for optimal loading times.
The developers confirmed support for Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR upscaling technologies to improve visual fidelity without sacrificing performance. However, the specific FSR version remains unconfirmed. Software ray tracing will be included, but hardware ray tracing, while currently being experimented with, is unlikely to be available at launch.

Launching November 20, 2024, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl promises a challenging, open-world, non-linear single-player experience where player choices significantly impact the narrative. For more on gameplay and story, explore our related article.
