STALKER 2 Guide: Immerse Yourself in the Chernobylian Zone
Quick Links
Navigating S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl involves crucial decisions impacting gameplay significantly. The mission "Just Like the Good Old Days" follows either "To the Last Drop of Blood" or "Law and Order," culminating in an escape from the SIRCAA. Your path will vary based on choices made in "Wishful Thinking."
Talk to Professor Lodochka at Wild Island
Proceed to the mission marker on Wild Island to locate Professor Lodochka at Quite's Camp. Upon arrival, prioritize eliminating nearby mercenaries, conveniently marked on your map. These enemies are readily engaged; no need to worry about ambushes. Equip yourself well, as further encounters await. After clearing the mercenaries, a single marker will guide you to Lodochka. An optional objective—activating the ventilation system—will then become available.
Activate the Ventilation System
To tackle this optional objective, consult your map. Locate a fuse within your current area. After retrieving it, your map will highlight the engineering rooms to the north. Be prepared for an invisible enemy within.
Enter the shelter, navigate the passageways to the engine room, and use the fuse to restore power to the ventilation system. Completing this optional objective simplifies the main mission, though it doesn't offer unique rewards.
Find the Signal Source
Before proceeding, consider acquiring better weaponry. The next objective leads to a cave entrance near the water. Navigate westward through the caverns, descending and overcoming obstacles. A broken pipe provides access to higher cave levels.
Locate the large cone-shaped spire; the emitter is at the marked point beside it. An invisible enemy threatens your exit. Return to Professor Lodochka to complete the mission and unlock "Hornet's Nest."
