Stellar Blade Developer Confirms Sequel Plans
According to a recent presentation slide released as part of Shift Up’s financial results, the Stellar Blade sequel is slated for release before 2027. In the meantime, fans can look forward to a "platform expansion" for the current game—a term likely referring to its highly anticipated PC version, scheduled to launch on June 11, 2025.
While we eagerly await the sequel, Shift Up is also working on another highly anticipated project, Project Witches, an enigmatic multiplatform action RPG that remains under wraps.
Earlier this week, Shift Up addressed concerns regarding a PC region lock issue with Sony, which temporarily prevented Stellar Blade from appearing on Steam in over 100 countries.
IGN described Stellar Blade as "a gorgeous and well-crafted action game with very impressive strengths and very clear weaknesses." While its narrative and RPG elements received mixed reviews, the game's combat system, inspired by Sekiro, and its engaging exploration mechanics were widely praised.
Shift Up's development chart highlights the upcoming Stellar Blade sequel and other projects in their pipeline. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting journey unfolds!
