Seven years post-war, an inner compulsion drives Nico to reconnect. The game carefully reveals his backstory—a bookish child who preferred imagination to socializing, then endured bullying during military service before finding solace in writing.

His small notebook, initially a target for teasing, surprisingly became the foundation for lifelong bonds with his squadmates. Now a successful author, Nico's travels unfold through various locales where solving puzzles advances both the journey and narrative.

As a point-and-click adventure, Sunset Hills emphasizes dialogue choices and environmental interaction. Players gather clues from conversations, combine inventory items, and deduce connections between elements.
