"New Superman Trailer: Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Krypto vs. The Engineer"
DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute trailer offers fans a deeper glimpse into the film's expansive universe, showcasing a robust ensemble of superheroes and supervillains.
The trailer highlights Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly dispatching foes with a mere flick of his hand. Isabela Merced brings Hawkgirl to life, while María Gabriela de Faría's portrayal of The Engineer is showcased in greater detail. Notably, it's The Engineer who is responsible for the destruction of the robots, including Kelex, in Superman's Fortress of Solitude, a scene that was teased in a previous trailer where a devastated Superman was seen cradling Kelex.
Adding to the action, Krypto the Superdog makes a bold entrance, executing a flying punch against The Engineer, demonstrating his readiness to engage in combat. The trailer also features Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman in action-packed sequences. We get more screen time with Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The newly introduced character, The Hammer of Boravia, believed to be Ultraman in disguise, also makes an appearance as anticipated from yesterday's teaser.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois conducting an interview with Clark in his Superman persona. The conversation escalates into a heated argument over Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a foreign war, with Clark defending his actions by stating, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" This intervention leads to The Hammer of Boravia attacking Downtown Metropolis.
In another compelling scene, a member of the public assists Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This act of kindness stands in stark contrast to other scenes where the public is shown reacting negatively to Superman, screaming at him and even throwing objects.
This trailer not only heightens anticipation for the film but also sets the stage for a complex narrative filled with action, moral dilemmas, and the dynamics of heroism in a world that doesn't always appreciate it.
