Switzerland Expansion Unlocks New Rail Adventures in Ticket to Ride
Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!
The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its horizons with the new Switzerland expansion! This exciting addition introduces a new gameplay mechanic: country-to-country routes. Now, players can strategically connect entire countries, adding a fresh layer of complexity to the classic railroad-building experience.
Key features of the Switzerland Expansion include:
- Country-to-Country Routes: Connect Switzerland with its neighboring nations (France, Germany, Italy, and Austria) for points. Each connection offers varying point values, demanding careful strategic planning.
- City-to-Country Routes: A similar concept to country-to-country routes, but connecting a specific city to an entire country.
- New Characters and Tokens: Two brand-new characters and four additional tokens join the game, adding variety and visual appeal.
- Strategic Depth: The new route types necessitate dynamic adjustments to your railroad empire building strategy. Both seasoned players and newcomers will find this expansion engaging and challenging.
The scoring system remains competitive: successful connections earn points based on the highest possible value for that ticket; failed connections incur a penalty based on the ticket's lowest value. Each country offers a specific number of nodes, further increasing the strategic depth and requiring careful route planning.
The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with releases on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox coming soon. Stay updated on all things Ticket to Ride by following Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
