TikTok Resumes U.S. Service Post January 18 Ban
UPDATE (1/19/25) - After a brief period of being unavailable, TikTok has resumed operations in the U.S.
"In collaboration with our service providers, TikTok is actively restoring its service," the company announced via a statement on X/Twitter. "We extend our gratitude to President Trump for his clear guidance and assurance to our service providers, ensuring they face no repercussions for continuing to support TikTok, which serves over 170 million Americans and enables more than 7 million small businesses to flourish.
"This decision underscores a commitment to the First Amendment and opposes arbitrary censorship. We are committed to working with President Trump to develop a sustainable solution that ensures TikTok remains accessible in the United States."
