Gacha game enthusiasts are always eager to keep tabs on the financial performance of their favorite titles. The latest figures for January 2025 have just been released, offering a fresh look at the industry's top earners.

Last month, Genshin Impact made waves with a significant update introducing the pyro archon, Mawuika. This new banner proved to be a major hit, propelling the game's earnings to an impressive $99.4 million, effectively doubling its revenue from December 2024's $45.6 million. This surge underscores the game's enduring popularity and the impact of well-timed updates.

In the rankings, Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with $64 million in earnings, while the popular "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, closed the top three with $55.2 million.

Not all games saw an upward trend, however. Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in earnings, totaling $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero saw its revenue cut in half, dropping from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.

It's important to note that these rankings reflect revenues solely from mobile platforms. Some of these games, particularly those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, the methodology used for these estimates includes a special consideration for the Chinese market, where Google Play is not available. Revenue estimates for Android in China are calculated using a multiplier based on iOS earnings in the country.
