Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month
Torchlight: Infinite's upcoming Season 8: Sandlord is set to launch on April 17th, promising a significant transformation in the game's landscape. With the introduction of the Cloud Oasis, players will dive into new economic gameplay mechanics, trading resources, managing workforce, and optimizing production lines to build their aerial empires.
The season also brings a fresh twist to Thea's character with her new Blasphemer trait. This trait replaces her divine abilities with a curse known as Desecration, which may start off weak but scales impressively, amplifying Erosion damage based on her remaining blessing power. Players can further enhance this into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, ideal for those who enjoy damage-over-time and synergistic gameplay.
Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite has seen a major overhaul with the revamp of Deep Space. This update includes five new stages, larger maps, and more challenging foes. The new Probes system allows players to adjust the level of risk and potential rewards, with the chance to obtain Compass chests through the Compass Probe.
Season 8 also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single slot, enhancing build diversity. A new formidable boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown and in Plane Watcher.
To celebrate the season, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can participate in tasks to earn Gold Rush Attempts and vie for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
