Ubisoft's Project U: Leaked Co-op Shooter Intro Video Unveiled
Ubisoft appears to be grappling with a series of unfortunate events surrounding its unannounced game, Project U. Gameplay leaks emerged as early as 2022, shortly after the closed beta testing phase began. These leaks have resurfaced two years later, indicating that the project is still in development. Recently, following what seems to be a reboot of the game's development, an introductory cinematic has been leaked online.
The origin and authenticity of the cinematic remain unconfirmed by Ubisoft. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for leaking gaming content. Weber suggested that more videos from Project U could surface if the game continues to be in development for an extended period.
Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, taking inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2. According to the leaked footage, the game's narrative centers on an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players assuming the roles of chosen individuals tasked with combating this extraterrestrial threat.
As of now, Ubisoft has not provided any official information regarding the formal announcement of Project U.
