Unveiling Hidden Power: Guide to Golden Idols in PoE2
Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Act 3's Secret Riches
Path of Exile 2 boasts a wealth of quests, but some remain elusive, bypassing the quest log entirely. This is true for the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. Unlike typical quest items, these don't trigger a quest entry upon discovery. Instead of progressing a specific questline, these unique items offer a substantial gold reward upon sale.
Locating the Golden Idols
After completing the Ziggurat Encampment and traversing the Vaal ruins, a portal transports you to Utzaal, the Vaal city in its prime. This visually stunning city, now a ruin in the present, holds the key to your riches. Three idols are hidden within Utzaal, with two more in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often tucked away in side rooms.
Golden Idols Locations:
Utzaal:
Glorious Idol
Golden Idol
Grand Idol
Aggorat:
Exceptional Idol
Elegant Idol
Cashing In Your Discoveries
Once you've gathered your idols, return to Oswald, located in the northern part of the Ziggurat Encampment. He's your buyer. The selling prices are as follows:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a tidy 6000 gold. Given their limited inventory space and sole purpose as high-value items, it's best to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your bag space.
