How to Obtain and Utilize the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.
In the spine-chilling universe of *R.E.P.O.*, the right items can be the difference between advancing to the next level or facing your fate in the Disposal Arena alongside your teammates. Among these crucial items, Recharge Drones stand out as indispensable tools for success. Let's delve into how to acquire and utilize these vital assets.
What Recharge Drones Do
Within the game, you'll encounter a variety of items at the Service Station, including single-use items like Mines and Grenades. However, some items, such as weapons and drones, feature a "battery life" that can be restored using Energy Crystals. Early in your *R.E.P.O.* journey, you'll notice a container-type object in your truck, which is pivotal for recharging these items, albeit at the cost of an Energy Crystal.
When you buy additional Energy Crystals, they seamlessly integrate into the container, eliminating any need to track them post-purchase. To recharge an item, simply place it in the yellow bucket beside the container, and watch as it regains its vigor. This process is essential for maintaining your equipment in prime condition, readying you to confront the next wave of horrors and challenges.
Yet, some levels can be particularly taxing, causing your items to wear down quickly. While you can recharge them using Energy Crystals at designated locations, you're not always near your truck. This is where the Recharge Drone proves invaluable, allowing you to manage your items' energy on the move.
How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.
The Recharge Drone, like all upgrades and items, is available at the Service Station, accessible after successfully completing a level. Here, you can equip yourself with tools that ease your journey through subsequent levels, provided you have the funds.
Due to the random spawn nature of items at the Service Station, you might need to visit a few times before the Recharge Drone appears. Once it does, it'll cost you between $4-5K. This compact cube will occupy one of your inventory slots, so assign it to slot 1, 2, or 3 upon purchase.
You'll notice your item's battery life dwindling via the battery bar underneath it. To recharge, select the drone, activate it with the 'E' key, and attach your depleted item. Let the Recharge Drone work its magic! Once the drone itself runs out of power, you can recharge it using Energy Crystals in your truck's container.
Now you're equipped with the knowledge of how to find and effectively use the Recharge Drone in *R.E.P.O.*, ensuring you're always ready to tackle the next level with fully charged gear.
