Steam remains the leading platform for PC game purchases, making its sales highly anticipated events. Many gamers meticulously plan their purchases around these sales. Thankfully, Valve provides advance notice of upcoming discounts. While previous announcements covered the first half of 2025, the second half's sale schedule is now officially revealed.

Steam events fall into three categories:

Seasonal Sales: These offer the widest range of discounted titles, frequently including major AAA releases.

Themed Festivals: These spotlight specific genres or gaming aspects.

Next Fest Events: These focus on demos and wishlisting upcoming games.

Valve's updated schedule allows for strategic game purchasing. If a desired game falls within an upcoming sale's genre, delaying the purchase for a discount is a smart move. After all, a discounted great game is even better than a full-priced one!
