Wang Yue, The Open World ARPG Is Stepping Out Of The Shadows As Testing Phase Nears
Wang Yue, a fantasy ARPG, is gearing up for its technical test phase following the recent acquisition of its publication license in China. This initial test will allow developers to identify bugs and gather player feedback before the game's official release.
A World Divided
Wang Yue's test phase unveils a world ravaged by a cataclysmic solar event. The planet is fractured, leaving two distinct continents suspended by unusual gravitational forces. Tian Yue City, a breathtaking inverted metropolis, floats high above a ruined landscape, creating a striking visual contrast. Players assume the role of Qing Wu, a mysterious protagonist thrust into this shattered world after a betrayal. The game explores the enigmatic worship of the once-destructive sun, the secrets of the upside-down city, and the motives of those who seek Qing Wu's demise.
Player Agency and Dynamic World
Rejecting conventional open-world tropes, Wang Yue prioritizes exploration and player-driven narratives. Traverse the skies above Tian Yue City or delve into the secrets hidden within the ruins below – the world responds to your actions. NPCs are reactive, offering diverse interactions ranging from police intervention for disruptive behavior to rewards for helpful deeds.
The developers actively seek player input. Upcoming discussions, design contests, and other community events will provide opportunities to shape the game's development. Registration for the technical test is now open on the official website.
