Gaijin Entertainment has unveiled exciting news for War Thunder players: the Firebirds update, arriving in early November, introduces a wave of new aircraft and other military hardware. This update is packed with significant additions to the game's roster.

New Aircraft in War Thunder's Firebirds Update

The update features a collection of iconic aircraft, including the stealthy American F-117 Nighthawk, the powerful Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the formidable F-15E Strike Eagle. These are just a few of the additions; new ground vehicles and warships are also included, such as the British FV107 Scimitar light tank and the French Dunkerque battleship.

Let's examine some key additions: The F-117A Nighthawk is War Thunder's first stealth aircraft, designed to evade radar and infrared detection through its unique shape and specialized materials. Its angled surfaces deflect radar waves, and it incorporates radar-absorbing materials and ferromagnetic paint. Even its engines are shielded. Its real-world performance in Operation Desert Storm, with over 1,200 combat sorties without loss, speaks to its effectiveness.

The F-15E Strike Eagle, on the other hand, prioritizes raw power. An advanced variant of the F-15, it boasts a 50% larger payload than its predecessor and features a ground target detection radar. Beyond the aircraft, the Firebirds update expands War Thunder's ground and naval forces. New additions include the agile British FV107 Scimitar tank and the French Dunkerque battleship.
