World of Warcraft Has Good News For Players Who Missed an Important 20th Anniversary Event Achievement
Summary
World of Warcraft players can now find Alyx, the key to obtaining the Detective title, in Dornogal. This Lightforged Draenei NPC holds the clues to locating 11 missing Celebration Crates. By completing this questline, players can still earn the Detective title and unlock further mysteries, even after the anniversary event has concluded.
World of Warcraft's 20th-anniversary event has ended, removing many celebratory activities and NPCs. However, Alyx, responsible for the Guest Relations mystery questline, remains accessible. Relocated to the hot springs northwest of Dornogal's Delver's Headquarters, Alyx, now titled "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," still possesses the crucial clues on their board, leading players to the hidden Celebration Crates. Collecting all 11 crates allows players to receive the Crate Insurance Agent, No Crate Left Behind, and Azeroth's Greatest Detective achievements, granting the coveted Detective title. This title is essential for beginning the quest to obtain the Incognitro Felcycle mount.
Earning the Detective Title After the WoW Anniversary
- Locate Alyx and their clue board in Dornogal. They're situated between the Delver's Headquarters and the stairs to Foundation Hall.
- Use the clues on Alyx's board to find the 11 missing Celebration Crates. Note: Players need level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests but must reach level 68 to access Dornogal.
- Return six crates for the Crate Insurance Agent achievement, and all 11 for No Crate Left Behind, Azeroth's Greatest Detective, and the Detective title.
While the Incognitro mount questline remains accessible post-anniversary, the Detective title was previously a concern. Many feared missing out on the mount due to the time-limited achievement. Alyx's relocation ensures players can still obtain the Detective title and continue the quest for the rare Incognitro mount indefinitely.
Regrettably, other Guest Relations quests from the anniversary event are no longer available, making achievements like Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager and I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats, and their associated rewards, unobtainable. The future availability of these quests and rewards remains uncertain.
