"Watch GQuuuuuuX: New Anime by Evangelion Team"

May 05,25

The much-anticipated Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX has finally arrived for North American audiences. This new Gundam series introduces an intriguing "alternate history" storyline, a uniquely challenging name to pronounce (reportedly "G-Queue-x"), and a fresh lineup of model kits. IGN's review of the GQuuuuuuX theatrical release praised the series, with critic Juan Barquin calling it “exactly the kind of inventive reimagining of Gundam we deserve.”

The new series boasts a notable influence from another iconic sci-fi franchise, as evident from its credits. GQuuuuuuX is directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki, co-director of End of Evangelion, and written by Yoji Enokido, known for classics like FLCL, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ouran High School Host Club, and Bungo Stray Dogs, along with several episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion. The involvement of Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno adds even more excitement to where this series might lead.

For those eager to dive into the new episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX or catch up on the original series, here's everything you need to know:
