"Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April"
LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic transformation that will redefine your gaming experience. Dive into the Dual Nova galaxy, exploring the realms of the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, which will introduce new gameplay dynamics and stunning visuals.
This patch brings three exciting new champions to the battlefield, each designed to shake up the meta with their unique abilities. Ryze, the Rune Mage, harnesses the power of the arcane with massive area-of-effect damage and the ability to teleport allies across the map using Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives in chaos, casting Paranoia to shroud enemies in darkness. Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time itself, slowing foes and reviving teammates with Chronoshift.
Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage ability now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will now shred through enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane with adjustments to her damage output and life steal capabilities. Additionally, minor tweaks are planned for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista to keep the game balanced and exciting.
Beyond champion updates, the patch introduces a Bandle-inspired Rift for non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from new item updates, including the Bandle Fantasy item which adds extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 that slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance which amplifies ultimate abilities.
Ranked mode will see significant changes with the start of a new season alongside the launch of the Challenger’s Star. Expect updates to the Ranked store and new ways to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a unique twist on ARAM with added augments and galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass accompanying this patch will feature two stunning new skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate’s new look introduces an entirely fresh skinline to the game.
