WoW: 11.1 Patch Brings Expansive New Zones
World of Warcraft Patch 11.1: Undermine and Beyond
World of Warcraft's upcoming Patch 11.1, "Undermine," introduces the subterranean Goblin capital as a major new zone. However, the update expands beyond Undermine, adding several intriguing subzones.
Key additions include:
-
Undermine: The sprawling underground Goblin city, featuring elaborate buildings, narrow streets, and inventive contraptions. A central hub, Slam Central Station, serves as the primary entry point, with five apparent access points suggesting further connections.
-
Gutterville: Situated in the southeastern Ringing Deeps, Gutterville is a corrupted area marked by a distinct maroon coloration. It houses Excavation Site 9, one of two new Delves in Patch 11.1, and likely provides another entrance to Undermine.
-
Kaja’Coast: Located in Zuldazar near Bilgewater Bonanza, this new Goblin encampment on the southwestern coast is suspected to be another access point to Undermine, potentially linked to the drill-like tram showcased in the Warcraft Direct announcement.
These additions significantly expand the scope of Patch 11.1. While the exact nature of the connections between these locations remains to be seen, the inclusion of multiple entry points to Undermine suggests a more interconnected and explorable experience.
While a firm release date is pending (currently estimated for mid-to-late February), the PTR launch in early January will allow players early access to explore these new areas. The discovery of these subzones through data mining hints at a potentially larger update than initially anticipated.
