WoW: Anniversary currency redemption extended
WoW Patch 11.1 Auto-Converts Unused Bronze Celebration Tokens
Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token to 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon a player's first login after the patch's release.
The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding on January 7th, offered players numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens used to purchase various items, including revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary collectibles. Any remaining tokens will now be converted to prevent wasted currency.
Blizzard confirmed that Bronze Celebration Tokens will not be used again, prompting this automatic conversion to benefit players who didn't spend all their tokens. This streamlined process ensures players don't retain obsolete currency in their inventories.
While Patch 11.1 lacks an official release date, a February 25th launch is highly probable, coinciding with Blizzard's recent update schedule and following the conclusion of in-game events. This timing unfortunately means the conversion will occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event ends, leaving players with ample opportunity to utilize their newly acquired Timewarped Badges during ongoing Timewalking events. All Timewarped Badge rewards remain permanently available.
