The creators of the acclaimed Disco Elysium have unveiled their next project, codenamed C4, described as a "cognitively dissonant spy RPG." This ambitious title from ZA/UM represents a significant departure, venturing into new narrative territory. After three years of development, the studio is finally ready to share details of this enigmatic game, promising a challenge to players' perceptions of reality and morality.

A cryptic 57-second teaser trailer accompanies the announcement. While gameplay remains unseen, the video's surrealist visuals and haunting espionage-themed monologue establish an atmosphere of secrecy, tension, and psychological complexity.

In C4, players become operatives for a shadowy global power, drawn into a brutal, clandestine fight for truth and influence. The developers emphasize the protagonist's mind—a fragile yet powerful entity shaped by psychoactive substances and external forces—as central to the game. This mental landscape acts as both tool and battleground, requiring players to navigate shifting realities and confront the consequences of their decisions.

C4's unique premise and ZA/UM's storytelling prowess suggest a thought-provoking RPG. Fans of Disco Elysium and newcomers alike can anticipate an experience pushing the boundaries of interactive narrative, exploring the complex interplay of identity, ideology, and control.
