Abyss of Dungeons S4 Adds Inferno & Casual Modes

If the name Abyss of Dungeons sounds familiar, that's because it was formerly called Dark and Darker Mobile. Following its rebranding, this dungeon-crawling extraction RPG has been gradually evolving, with Pre-season #4 marking its most ambitious update yet.
Pre-season #4: Big Changes Arrive
The v0.13 update launches June 11th in the US and Canada, introducing sweeping changes including heightened difficulty levels, revamped progression systems, and adjustments catering to both hardcore players and casual explorers.
Inferno Difficulty Debuts
The major highlight is the new Inferno difficulty setting for the Forgotten Castle. Previously locked behind a Hell-difficulty portal, it's now directly accessible. Inferno delivers brutally challenging enemies, more demanding mechanics, and top-tier loot – perfect for those seeking the ultimate test.
PvE Casual Mode Added
For players preferring low-pressure sessions, Casual Mode now runs as pure PvE. While rewards are slightly reduced, adventurers can freely explore and loot without player ambushes disrupting their runs.
Fresh Features & Improvements
Nightmare and Hell dungeons now feature randomized layouts per run, forcing adaptive gameplay. Newcomers and returning players receive a 7-day buff protecting equipped gear upon death in Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulties.
Competitive players benefit from new content including:
- Weekly Leagues with exclusive rewards
- Mission Road challenges
- Hot Time events with time-limited bonuses
Additional quality-of-life upgrades feature a death recap system, improved team markers, and UI refinements.
Pre-season #4 runs through August 8th, providing ample time to redeem accumulated Season Coins.
