The beloved animated series is making a comeback. Seth MacFarlane's American Dad returns to Fox this February, officially marking its second run on the network alongside new episodes of his other hit, Family Guy.

This midseason revival brings both shows back to their original network home, where they aired from 2005 to 2014 before shifting to TBS earlier this year. The return forms part of Fox's strategy to dominate primetime television with proven fan favorites.

"Capitalizing on our strong demo performance this season, Fox presents a 2025-26 lineup packed with edgy humor and must-see comedy," Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade told Variety. "We're elevating our multiplatform content to engage viewers across broadcast and streaming."

Fox continues expanding its programming strategy, recently announcing Fox One - a unified streaming platform combining live and on-demand access to Fox's news, sports, and entertainment lineup, with optional integration of Fox Nation.

While American Dad's exact premiere date remains unconfirmed, its Fox return is guaranteed - theme song and all. The series will likely stream on Fox One, with full details expected next year.
