Sony Pictures has exciting news for anime fans: Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is set to slice its way into US theaters on October 29, 2025. This announcement was made during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, where they revealed they've secured worldwide theatrical distribution rights (excluding Japan) for this thrilling adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s acclaimed work. US audiences can mark their calendars for late October, while over 80 other countries will get to experience the film starting September 24, 2025. Toho will handle the film's release in Japan, premiering it on September 19, 2025.

The Chainsaw Man movie was announced in December 2023 and serves as a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime that first captivated audiences in 2022. The story follows Denji, a young protagonist who gains a new lease on life after striking a pact with a Chainsaw Devil dog named Pochita. This unique bond grants him the extraordinary ability to manifest chainsaws from various parts of his body, propelling him into the role of the formidable Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc introduces a pivotal new character, Reze, who plays a significant role in the original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and penned by Hiroshi Seko, the film brings back the entire voice cast from the anime to reprise their roles, ensuring a seamless continuation of the gripping narrative.
