"Climb Knight Update: New Minigames Added This Month"
If there's one thing you can say about mobile developer AppSir, it's that their games are always worth a look. From our glowing review of Spooky Pixel Hero to their latest quirky one-bit platformer, Climb Knight, AppSir consistently delivers distinct indie fun that resonates with players. And now, Climb Knight is set to receive a major update that promises to enhance the gaming experience even further.
Scheduled for release on February 25th, this free update will introduce three new one-bit minigames and a mysterious advisor character inspired by Apple Newton shareware. Given AppSir's history of spooky and surprising releases, it's safe to assume that there's more to this advisor and the new gameplay than meets the eye.
Climbing up
AppSir's dedication to breaking the mold proves that indie developers can achieve significant popularity on mobile platforms. While they may not be the "New Blood" of smartphones, their games share similarities with the excellent Faith trilogy, particularly in the spooky, retro aesthetic of their back catalog.
If you're curious about what we thought of Spooky Pixel Hero, our review highlights it as another excellent release well worth playing. For more insights into Climb Knight's reception, check out developer Darius's latest blog post.
