DIGIMON CON 2025 Highlights
Digimon Alysion: A New Mobile TCG in the Works
At the DIGIMON CON 2025 Livestream on March 20, Bandai Namco introduced Digimon Alysion, a mobile trading card game currently in development. Inspired by the success of titles like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, this game aims to bring Digimon’s card game experience to a broader mobile audience.
Digimon Alysion is a free-to-play digital card game where players collect cards featuring various Digimon and franchise characters, build decks, and battle opponents. Notably, the game is expected to include a rich story mode, offering players more than just standard and competitive gameplay.

Alongside the announcement, Bandai Namco shared a trailer showcasing gameplay snippets and introducing an all-female cast for the potential story mode, including new characters Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside a new Digimon, Gemmon.
No release date for Digimon Alysion has been confirmed, but a closed beta test was mentioned, with further details to be announced later.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger Reveals New Details

DIGIMON CON 2025 also provided fresh insights into Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara discussed the game’s background, key characters, and signature moves of select Digimon featured in the title.
Hara confirmed that players can choose from three starter Digimon—Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon—popular characters from the original Digimon Adventure anime. These were previously speculated to be starters due to their prominence in promotional artwork.
The game will feature over 450 Digimon, surpassing the 330 in its predecessor, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory. The trailer highlighted fan-favorites like Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon.

Hara also outlined the game’s narrative and protagonists. Players can select between two secret agents from the ADAMAS organization, Dan Yuki (male) or Kanan Yuki (female), tasked with addressing mysterious threats to humans and Digimon. The main heroine, Inori Misono, and her partner Aegiomon will join players on a time-traveling adventure, as the game’s title suggests.
Other reveals at the event included a 25th Anniversary PV for the Digimon Anime, new starter decks and booster packs for the Digimon Trading Card Game, and a new anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, set to debut in October 2025. The Digimon franchise is gearing up for an exciting year, so fans should keep an eye out for more updates.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay informed with the latest updates by checking our article below!
