Dragon Quest X is coming to mobile, but so far only in Japan
Dragon Quest X Offline is coming to Japanese mobile devices! The popular MMORPG spin-off, previously available on consoles and PC, launches tomorrow on iOS and Android in Japan. Japanese players can purchase the offline, single-player version at a discounted price.
This marks a significant event for Japanese fans, especially considering a previous attempt to bring Dragon Quest X to mobile in 2013. The game features unique gameplay elements for the series, including real-time combat, a departure from the traditional Dragon Quest formula. The offline version, released in 2022, offers a streamlined single-player experience.
Unfortunately, a global release for the mobile version remains unconfirmed. Given the original Dragon Quest X's Japan-only launch, international availability is uncertain. This is disappointing for many fans who've enjoyed previous entries in the series, like Sentinels of the Starry Sky.
