Elden Ring Nightreign Ditches Poisonous Swamps
In the highly anticipated cooperative action game *Elden Ring Nightreign*, fans will notice a significant departure from a traditional From Software element: the absence of the notorious poisonous swamps. This revelation comes directly from Yasuhiro Kitao, the project's product manager, during a recent discussion with journalists.
Although a swamp-like area was briefly showcased in the *Elden Ring Nightreign* trailer, Kitao clarified that it is not a poisonous swamp. The decision to exclude these challenging environments stems from the absence of Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of From Software, who is famously known for his affinity towards swamp locations. His influence led to the inclusion of such areas in both *Elden Ring* and the *Dark Souls* series. However, Miyazaki did not participate in the development of *Elden Ring Nightreign*.

In addition to these changes, there's exciting news regarding the game's multiplayer features. While *Elden Ring Nightreign* has been confirmed to support both single-player and three-player modes, there is a possibility that a two-player mode might be added. Initially, the developers had to forego the two-player option due to challenges in content balancing. However, From Software is currently reevaluating this decision, though no final verdict has been reached yet.
Mark your calendars for the release of *Elden Ring Nightreign* on May 30, 2025, as it will be available on PC and across two generations of consoles. Keep an eye out for further updates on this eagerly awaited title.
