Fantasma: An Augmented Reality Mobile Game Now with Expanded Language Support

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game, at Gamescom Latam. This exciting title has just received a significant update, adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish to be included in the coming months.

The game itself casts players in a battle against mischievous Fantasma creatures. Players use portable electromagnetic fields as bait to lure these paranormal entities, then engage in AR combat by aiming and shooting at them on their phone screens. Defeated Fantasmas are captured in special bottles.

Fantasma encounters are location-based, encouraging exploration to discover new creatures. Players can also deploy sensors to expand their search radius. A social element is built-in, allowing for team play with other players.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. Download links are provided below. For fans of AR gaming, Pocket Gamer also offers a curated list of the best AR games for iOS.
