Fortnite: Unlocking the Lock On Pistol Guide
Quick Links
Fortnite Hunters has kicked off Chapter 6 with an exciting array of new features, including a vast map to explore, the introduction of powerful Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and thrilling boss battles. As the season unfolds, even more content is being added, enriching the loot pool and introducing new gameplay elements.
With Winterfest now behind us, Fortnite Hunters has seen its first major update, bringing back some beloved unvaulted items from Chapter 4. While the Kinetic Blade has caught the attention of many players, the Lock On Pistol is another weapon that's generating buzz, designed to help players improve their accuracy.
How To Get The Lock On Pistol
The Lock On Pistol, classified as a Rare weapon, can be found as floor loot or inside chests scattered across the map. Although it's a Rare item, encountering it might still require some luck and persistence. Players should open as many chests as possible to increase their chances of finding this weapon.
Another effective method to acquire the Lock On Pistol is by fishing at designated Fishing Spots with a Fishing Rod. These spots are known to yield Rare weapons more frequently, offering a solid chance of reeling in the Lock On Pistol.
How To Use The Lock On Pistol
The Lock On Pistol operates like other semi-automatic pistols in Fortnite, delivering 25 damage per shot. What sets it apart is its unique Lock-On feature. When aiming down sights, a targeting circle appears around the reticle. If an enemy is within this circle, every shot fired will hit the target, as long as they aren't behind cover.
This feature is especially useful against players gliding in the air or those hiding in bushes. However, the Lock-On function has a limited range of 50 meters, so players need to stay close to their targets. For those who prefer a more aggressive playstyle, the Lock On Pistol can also be used effectively when fired from the hip, though this method won't utilize its primary Lock-On feature.
Here's a quick breakdown of the Lock On Pistol's stats:
Damage | Fire Rate | Magazine Size | Reload Time |
---|---|---|---|
25 | 15 | 12 | 1.76s |
