Marvel Rivals Season 1: Free Skins, New Characters, and More!

Season 1 of NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals, "Eternal Night Falls," has launched with a surprise: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! This exciting season, running from January 10th to April 11th, 2025, pits the Fantastic Four against Dracula in a battle for New York City.

The Fantastic Four are making their debut, with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman available at launch. Human Torch and The Thing will join the roster in a mid-season update; leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist and The Thing a Vanguard.

Players can earn free cosmetic rewards, including the Peni Parker's Blue Tarantula skin (page 3 of the battle pass) and Scarlet Witch's Emporium Matron skin (page 9). While the standard battle pass costs 990 Lattice (approximately $10), these skins are obtainable via quests and Chrono Tokens. Note that while a free emote is included for Scarlet Witch, her MVP animation requires the premium pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin.

Beyond the free rewards, the in-game shop features new villainous skins for Invisible Woman (Malice) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker). These stylish additions, along with the abundance of free content, have generated significant excitement among Marvel Rivals players.
